Austin is a pleasure to work with, very knowledgeable and his deep understanding of how to improve range of motion and his ability to spot the issue quickly is unmatched. I would definitely recommend Austin to anyone who is experiencing any type of mobility or flexibility impairment.
I started working out with Austin almost one year ago – right after the birth of my second child. Austin understood the challenges associated with postpartum weigh loss and designed a program that not only helped achieve my weight loss goal, but also corrected my posture. He has made a noticeable difference in the way I look and feel. I would recommend Austin to anyone. He is professional, always on-time, and focused on me and getting me the results I want.
After being an elite athlete for over 15 years and constantly pushing my body past its limits, I was left with a very long list of injuries and countless referrals to physios and chiropractors. Having an assessment with Austin Norris gave me an all over body analysis and an honest and accurate appraisal of where my body was at in this point in time. Austin provided me with a program of corrective exercises to help rehab my injuries and a workout program that was tailored to my body’s needs. Austin has been very patient and responsive to my athlete’s mindset of training and has helped to modify and guide my program in a way that works for me. He also introduced me to Fascia Abrasion Technique which has had amazing results. Austin is a trainer who takes his client’s concerns seriously and is really in it to help his clients obtain results and make lifestyle changes that are realistic and attainable. His honest and caring approach makes working with a trainer a great investment for a healthy and happy life.
Austin Norris was one of the most professional, intelligent, comprehensive and compassionate trainers that I have ever hired to help me. Austin did a thorough assessment of my injuries and built a program just for me. He took me through each step of my routine and made sure I understood each exercise, answering every question with patience and understanding. I travel a lot and Austin is also available for me to contact while I travel. He gave me advice on injuries and pain I was dealing with. His manual therapy techniques are amazing and he is always listening to my description how my body is responding. I would, and have recommended Austin Norris and Primal Motion to clients, family, and friends. He is one of the best trainers in Toronto.
Austin is knowledgeable, attentive, and quietly encouraging. I love his focus on functional movement; it’s all about enabling the body to move the way it was designed to move, and developing good habits for everyday activities. Even after the first week of following my tailor-made program, I could feel an improvement in my body. The progression in the programs he’s created for me make a lot of sense, and it’s reassuring to know that I’m developing strength and mobility that are so important in maintaining an active (pain-free!) life. He’s always accessible if I have any questions, and can adjust the scheduling to meet my changing needs. I’ve been working with Austin for just over a year now, and it has worked wonders for me.
Austin is an easy going guy with great knowledge when it comes to analyzing posture & personal training. I’ve learned so much from him about my injuries, muscle imbalances and how to prevent further damages to my body. As a certified personal trainer myself, I look up to him as a great role model in the fitness industry and I’ll be paying more visits soon!
When I was referred to Austin I didn’t know what to expect. It started off with a posture assessment evaluation and I ended up having regular training sessions with him. He’s incredible! His knowledge is so versatile that it helped me work through my body issues and gave me the motivation to exercise on a regular basis again.
I’m a 74 year old retired physician. About a year and a half ago my massage therapist sent me information about Austin’s Posture workshop. At the time I was having neck and upper back pain, a stiff and painful left shoulder, and early signs of problems with my knees. What he had to say, and demonstrated in the workshop, made a lot of sense to me, and did not conflict with my medical knowledge, so I signed up for some sessions with him. He basically had me doing a series of simple exercises designed to work on my symptoms, initially under his supervision, and then on my own at home. And guess what? The aforementioned problems melted away, and providing I keep up with the exercises, stay away. I can even do backstroke again. And as a bonus, he has a delightful personality, and a sense of humour.
